Who We Are

Hope’s Harbor (formerly Mad Anthonys Children’s Hope House) was founded in 1997 by American Airlines captain Jack Arnold, in response to the growing need for a “hospital hospitality house” to provide lodging and accommodations for the parents and families of critically ill children. Today, we continue that mission, having served thousands of families since opening our doors. We now have two hospitality houses, on the campuses of Lutheran Hospital and Dupont Hospital.

What We Do

Hope’s Harbor supports children receiving medical care by providing critical hospitality services to their families including overnight accommodations, shower and laundry facilities, meals and snacks, and spaces for families to be together. In 2024, we served 1127 guests providing 3,778 nights of respite and 167 meals to families with a loved one in the hospital.
