Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana

Who We Are

Junior Achievement (JA) equips young people with the skills and confidence to shape their own economic futures. Through volunteer-led programs for students from Pre-K through 12th grade, we introduce essential concepts in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and career readiness. Our hands-on, experiential approach inspires students to dream big and recognize their potential.

We help students make the connection between what they learn today and the opportunities they can create for tomorrow.

Our work at JA is powered by a diverse network of volunteers—business professionals, college students, parents, and retirees—whose passion and commitment make our mission possible.

What We Do

Junior Achievement educates and inspires young people to value free enterprise, business, financial literacy and economics to improve the quality of their lives.

Junior Achievement’s unique volunteer delivered programs show students all of the possibilities that lay before them. They realize they can choose different paths; College? A specific trade? Or start their own business? By being a JA volunteer and sharing your personal and professional experiences and skills with students from your community, you help them make the connection between what they are learning in school and what they will need to succeed in work and life.

You don’t need to be a teacher—just someone who wants to make a difference. By sharing your experiences and leading activities, you’ll help students connect classroom learning to real-world opportunities.

Join us in shaping the next generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers.
