Who We Are
Junior Achievement (JA) empowers young people to own their economic success. Our volunteer-delivered, Pre-K through12th grade programs foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire kids to dream big and reach their potential. JA helps students realize that the education they are getting today will help them to have a bright future tomorrow. JA of Northern Indiana provides over 190,000 student experiences each year in 27 counties in northern Indiana. Junior Achievement's volunteers come from all walks of life, including business people, college students, parents, and retirees. These dedicated individuals are the backbone of our organization.
What We Do
Junior Achievement educates and inspires young people to value free enterprise, business, financial literacy and economics to improve the quality of their lives.
Junior Achievement’s unique volunteer delivered programs show students all of the possibilities that lay before them. They realize they can choose different paths; College? A specific trade? Or start their own business? By being a JA volunteer and sharing your personal and professional experiences and skills with students from your community, you help them make the connection between what they are learning in school and what they will need to succeed in work and life.
You don’t need to be a teacher—just someone who wants to make a difference. By sharing your experiences and leading activities, you’ll help students connect classroom learning to real-world opportunities.
Join us in shaping the next generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers.
