Volunteer at the Treasure House - Morning Shift

The Rescue Mission receives a lot of donations! We sort all these items to ensure the needs of our residents are met as a first priority, with the balance of donated items going to Treasure House - our thrift store.  Here they are sold or recycled providing the much-needed resources for operating The Rescue Mission's various ministries.

Duties could include the following: sort and hang up clothing, sort textiles, sort and clean donations, test electronics, run the baler, provide general cleaning support, help to organize clothing, purses, and shoes, as well as restocking the sales items. Duties could also include dusting and light cleaning throughout the store and being a dressing room attendant.

Volunteers should be 18 or older, friendly, welcoming, and assertive. Must also be trainable, able to follow and give directions, and able to lift at least 25 pounds!
