This volunteer will graciously donate their time and the fuel needed to pick up pop tabs from our House and bring them to OmniSource in New Haven for recycling. We will call you when they need to be picked up with the possiblity of pickup one or two times per month, depending on the volume that we receive. This person will also mail or bring the check from the recycling back to the House. You must be 18 years or older, own your own vehicle, have proof of of a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, pass a background check, and you must log your hours through Volunteer Center to be covered by their insurance. Supplemental liability insurance is offered by both RMHC and Volunteer Center. You also must be able to lift the containers with pop tabs into your vehicle. Sorting through the pop tabs for objects other than tabs is also required.
