The Annual Senior Information Fair will be held on Thursday, September 15th at Turnstone. Volunteers are needed to assist in a variety of ways. Please reveiw the available shifts and click the blue respond button. In the comments box, note what shift and need you are interested in.
On Wed. the 14th, assistance is needed in setting up tables (2 - 4 p.m.) and helping vendors unload (4 - 6 pm.)
On Thursday the 15th, volunteers are needed:
- 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. – 1 volunteer to assist at IU Health vendor table checking in or directing visitors to IU screening table for blood pressure checks and/or osteoporosis screening
- 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. – 1 volunteer to assist at food tables for distribution of sandwiches and water for SiF visitors
- Noon – 2:00 p.m. – 1 or 2 people needed to act as greeter(s) at Plassamn Athletic Center entrance
- Noon – 2:00 p.m. - 1 volunteer to assist at IU Health vendor table checking in or directing visitors to IU screening table for blood pressure checks and/or osteoporosis screening
- Noon – 2:00 p.m. – 1 or 2 Welcome table helpers
- Noon – 2:00 p.m. – 1 Senior Information Fair table helper
- Noon – 2:00 p.m. – 1 or 2 Parking Lot helpers at Plassman Athletic Center lots
SIF is a popular one-stop unbiased educational experience for seniors ages 50 and up, their families and caregivers by providing valuable information on memory care, residential opportunities, finances, elder law, health insurance, home care, hearing and so many other resources & information along with a variety of screenings.
