Role Summary:
Are you friendly, outgoing, and passionate about making a difference? We’re looking for a Volunteer Fundraiser who enjoys meeting new people and building community relationships. This role will support Mustard Seed Furniture Bank’s events and fundraising efforts by securing in-kind donations from local businesses—such as gift cards, raffle items, or event supplies.
You’ll help power events that raise critical funds for families rebuilding their lives after crisis. If you love connecting people to a good cause, this opportunity is for you!
Primary Responsibilities:
*Visit or contact local businesses to request in-kind donations for fundraising events and raffles
*Represent the mission and values of the Mustard Seed with professionalism and enthusiasm
*Track outreach and follow-up with potential donors as needed
*Pick up donations or coordinate drop-offs at the warehouse
*Deliver thank-you notes or recognition materials as part of donor stewardship
Qualifications:
Friendly, engaging, and comfortable speaking with business owners or managers
Passionate about Mustard Seed’s mission to provide furniture and dignity to families in need
Organized and reliable with strong follow-through
Access to transportation for business visits and pickups
Willingness to be trained and supported with talking points, scripts, and materials
