Since 2002, the Mustard Seed has assisted referred clients following a home visit by a social service or faith-based organization, church or school. Clients are required to have been residents of Allen, Adams, Dekalb, Huntington, Noble, Wells, and Whitley counties for a minimum of the past six months. Our agency continues to help people who are struggling to establish or maintain a home such as:
- Domestic Violence Victims
- Veterans
- People with Physical and/or Cognitive Disabilities
- Uninsured Fire/Flood Victims
- Senior Citizens (over65)
- Previously Homeless
- Young Adults Aging Out of Foster Care
- Incarceration
- Under-Employed
- Children Without Beds
- Successful Completion of a Substance abuse Program
BEDS4KIDS Program:
This Program provides a brand-new platform frame, mattress, and pillow, along with a set of sheets and blanket to children (ages 2-17) who do not have a bed of their own, and whose family has been referred to our agency. These children may be sleeping on the floor, with other siblings, or with an adult family member. The Mustard Seed believes that each child deserves a bed of their own.
