This role is centered around something simple but meaningful: being there for our guests. Our families are walking through long, often overwhelming days at the hospital, and coming back to a warm, welcoming space (and a kind, helpful person) can make all the difference.
Care & Crew volunteers are that presence. Greeting guests, helping answer questions, light cleaning or cooking, lending a hand where needed, and just creating a sense of calm and care throughout the home. It’s less about big tasks and more about being there, whenever they need someone.
Shifts are 4 hours (8am–12pm or 12pm–4pm), Monday–Friday, and we’re hoping for a weekly or bi-monthly commitment. If you’re interested in serving but need a small adjustment to one of these timeframes, we still encourage you to apply — we’re happy to explore whether a consistent alternative can work.
All Care and Comfort Crew volunteers are required to attend an orientation and training prior to their first shift.
