Who We Are
The mission of the YMCA is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. The YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne has over 90,000 members in three counties, focusing on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Our eight membership branches, resident camp, child care services, and youth services bureau help us strengthen the foundations of our community.
What We Do
One of our strategic goals is to inspire, empower, and mobilize our members to volunteer in the Y and through the Y in the community. We do this by connecting members to existing program volunteer opportunities, while also developing new mission-driven volunteer opportunities. This is in conjunction with partnering with community agencies, connecting our members to their volunteer opportunities.
