Who We Are

The mission of the St. Vincent de Paul Society is to alleviate poverty by offering hope as well as help to all through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

What We Do

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Fort Wayne empowers people, regardless of their background, ethnicity, or faith, to achieve stability and self-sufficiency by offering financial, material, educational, and spiritual support and by collaborating with others to develop and deliver programs and services that help those in need.

Programs include transportation to medical appointments, voucher program (clothing & furniture) through our Thrift Store, Wood Shop (building hand-crafted furniture), food pantries, housing and utility assistance, job training and placement, jail ministry, and home repairs.  We utilize hundreds of caring volunteers to operate our extensive range of services.

We are part of an international organization and have operated in Fort Wayne since 1944. We currently operate out of 23 different service locations in Northeast Indiana with our headquarters in downtown Fort Wayne at 1600 S. Calhoun Street.
