Who We Are

Homebound Meals was founded in 1971 by a group of concerned citizens in response to the 1968 Elder Care Act.  We deliver to the Greater Fort Wayne area.  We do not solicit any government support.  All of our drivers are volunteers. We have 6 part-time employees and our office is housed in the lower level of Trinity Episcopal Church on Berry & Broadway where we have been since 1972.

What We Do

We assist our community to age in place and enhance health through hot medically tailored meals delivered by dedicated volunteer drivers.  We deliver Monday thru Friday during the lunch hour.  We do not deliver on Major Holidays, weekends or during severe weather. You are free to take children with you.  Clients always enjoy seeing the young people.  Most drivers sign up to drive one day per week, but we try to work with anyone's schedule. We also have available one stop food deliveries.  This is also driving one day per week.  If you cannot commit to one day a week, we always need substitutes to cover routes when the regular driver is unable to do his or her route.
