Who We Are

Circles of Allen County is the local chapter of Circles USA which is an international organization that builds community to end poverty. People wanting to better their lives are surrounded by people who provide them with encouragement, advice from experience, and social capital which aids them in leading themselves out of poverty. Thus, they are called Circle Leaders. Data shows that the average increase in income for Circle Leaders is 71% after 18 months and 121% after 36 months.

What We Do

Circles reduces poverty and changes communities by partnering those who want to better their lives (Circle Leaders) with people from the community (Allies) who can walk alongside the Leaders on this incredible journey. Once a month, community leaders are invited to attend Circle meetings to hear the stories of the Leaders who will share the barriers they experience to bettering their lives. The goal is that the community leaders can make changes that will benefit the entire community.
