Dare to Dream Youth Ranch

Dare to Dream Youth Ranch is a local 501c3 non-profit organization that provides children in the Fort Wayne area and surrounding communities the opportunity to experience a real horse ranch, learning and building the values of integrity, leadership and compassion through hard work, cooperation and caring for horses—all in a supervised and supportive environment. Many of our horses have been rescued from abuse and neglect, and all our horses’ stories are used to reach and teach children the power of putting hope into action.

Our services include therapeutic riding sessions, group events and corporate work days. We serve a wide range of children, ages 4-18, and do not exclude anyone based on their financial status. We use our horses, staff and experiences to reach children from across all socioeconomic and cultural strata, and we frequently work with at-risk children and those with mild disabilities. (An abundance of medical scientific research has shown horses have profound therapeutic effects on young cognitive and motor skills, intellectual and social development.) The experiences we provide at the Ranch are far more than just fun—they are life-changing and confidence-inspiring. Put simply: We help kids dream bigger dreams.
