Who We Are

The Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research. OUR MISSION is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. OUR VISION: A World Without Alzheimer's Disease® Formed in 1980, the Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research.

What We Do

Care and Support: We work on a national and local level to provide care and support for all those affected by Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia through the delivery of local dementia education programs, local caregiver support groups, and a national Helpline available 24/7/365. Research As the largest nonprofit funder of Alzheimer's research, the Association is committed to advancing vital research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure. Advocacy The Association is the leading voice for Alzheimer's disease advocacy, fighting for critical Alzheimer’s research and care initiatives at the state and federal level.
