Help us clean the seeds we've collected at our last Seed Cleaning Party of the season! Learn to separate seed from chaff, or dry plant material, and why both are valuable for the marsh and the wildlife it sustains. Learn about and contribute to our Seed-to-Marsh seed mix which we'll use to grow native plants like Common Milkweed, Bee Balm, and Tall Ironweed all across Eagle Marsh!

We'll meet at our office, at 8315 W Jefferson Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46804.  

Please respond to register.  Walk-ins are always welcome.

Volunteer: Stewardship Wednesday: Invasive Species Removal at Eagle Marsh East!

Wednesday, January 28th from 2:00 - 4:00 pm

Join us to learn how to identify invasive honeysuckle, Callery pear, and autumn olive species, then hike with us to remove as many of these as we can!  Removing invasive species is crucial to preserving biodiversity, and we can't do it without you. Come make an impact in your community!

Please dress for the weather and prepare to get dirty! We will provide instruction, hand tools, and gloves.

We'll meet at Eagle Marsh East at 5013 Engle Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46804. Parking is available in a grassy lot at the next right after passing Hempton Roast Coffee on Engle Rd.

LRWP Office 8315 W Jefferson Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46804 Our Native Plant Propagation Series continues! Let's start off this new year with growing native seeds! In this workshop, we'll be demonstrating a low maintenance way to grow your seeds using a plastic container or pot and the great outdoors! In addition to helping us start our native seeds at Eagle Marsh, you can take home a container that will sit through the Winter and start to sprout come Spring. Please join us at the Little River Wetlands Project office at 8315 W Jefferson Blvd to learn how to winter sow!
