Volunteer Opportunities From: Volunteer Center

5:30pm – Game Night

Are you a gamer? Join us at Byron Health Center to help staff and residents enjoy a fun night of games! Volunteers can assist by helping bring residents to the common area, encouraging participation, and joining in on team games, card games, and group activities. Feel free to bring a friend and score some game points alongside our residents while creating meaningful connections.

3:00 PM – Religious Studies
Join our long-term volunteer and appointed Chaplain, J.E., for an afternoon Bible study. This Christian-based opportunity includes a small group setting with reading and light discussion. Volunteers can assist by helping residents gather, engaging in conversation, and supporting participation. This is also a great opportunity for first-time volunteers to shadow J.E., who brings over 20 years of experience, and gain confidence in small group interaction and speaking.

2:00 PM – Table Games | 3:00 PM – Trivia

Spend the afternoon connecting with our residents through classic table games and a lively round of trivia! Volunteers will help residents get to the activity area, assist with setting up games, encourage participation, and join in the fun. At 3:00 PM, everyone will team up for a friendly trivia challenge filled with laughter, conversation, and a little healthy competition. Whether you're a trivia buff or just enjoy spending time with others, there's a place for you at the table!

- Every volunteer will be emailed by Lydia after you submit your form. You will need to complete a volunteer waiver form through us before participating. No exceptions.

9:30 AM – Chronicles (News & Today in History)

Start the morning with our residents as we explore fun facts, historical birthdays, daily quotes, and light conversation. Volunteers can assist by helping residents gather from their neighborhoods, encouraging participation, or even reading the daily chronicle aloud.

10:00 AM – Craft/Game

After Chronicles, join us for a festive craft activity or game! Volunteers can help with setup, guiding residents through the steps, and adding creative touches to their crafts or assisting with the daily game.

Volunteers can help residents gather, support engagement, and take part in this uplifting experience.
