A fidget blanket is a lap-size quilt (24x24) which provides sensory and tactile stimulation for the restless hands of someone with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia. If you are interested, we could use several fidget blankets! Blankets can be picked up from you at a designated time. Your creation and time will provide such a blessing to a hospice patient! We need your help to create memory pillows for the bereaved who have lost loved ones on our Hospice service.
What are Memory Pillows? - They are articles of clothing or pieces of material that belong to someone who has passed away, that are made into pillows and serve as a way to keep the memory of that passed loved one alive. They also serve as a way to provide comfort to someone who is grieving.
We will provide the material or article of clothing, whether that be a shirt or pants etc. and you do your magic to create the pillow.
