Volunteer: After school volunteer 2025-2026 school yearPower House is a Christian youth center in New Haven that offers after school programming for 7th-12th grade students. We offer a healthy snack, homework help, life skills classes, free time for the youth, and then provide dinner for the students every night. Volunteers would engage with students, having conversations with them, and engage in the activities that are taking place. We are searching for volunteers that would be able to commit to 1 afternoon a week, or every other week. The volunteer process is fairly simple. There is a short application, and 2 hour training for new volunteers. Since we work directly with youth, there is a background check that will be completed as well.
