Weed Wrangle - Honeysuckle Breakdown
Wednesday, February 28th from 4:00 - 6:00 pm
Meet at our office: 5000 Smith Rd Fort Wayne, IN 46804. Join us to learn why and how to identify bush honeysuckle, then hike with us to break down as many of these as we can! Removing invasive species is crucial to preserving biodiversity and we can't do it without you. After removing honeysuckle, we like to break it down into small piles, which make room for planting native species and create habitats for birds and small mammals. We have lots of honeysuckle skeletons that need broken down! Please dress for the weather and be prepared to get dirty! We will provide instruction, hand tools, and gloves.
Program will be cancelled if weather is 10 degrees or below or if Southwest Allen County schools are closed. RSVP and questions to Eva Curtis at e.curtis@lrwp.org.
