Bring joy and connection to Lutheran Life Villages - Inverness. Do you have a caring heart and a little time to share? Our Memory Care Assisted Living community is looking for warm, compassionate volunteers to help make each day brighter for our residents living with dementia.

When We Need You:
Tuesdays & Saturdays, 10–11:30 AM – Join us for lively Bingo fun and friendly conversation!
Wednesdays–Fridays, 2–3:30 PM – Help out with Noodle Ball and other movement games, fingernail painting, and cheerful happy hour gatherings.

We also would love to have volunteers spend time one-to-one, listening and reminiscing about the “good old days” or playing piano (or other musical instruments) for our friends.

We’re looking for volunteers who bring empathy, patience, and adaptability, along with a willingness to learn a person-centered approach—one that focuses on building trust, understanding, and genuine connection. Whether you can come once a week or just occasionally, your presence truly makes a difference!

Bring joy and connection to Lutheran Life Villages - Kendallville. Do you have a caring heart and a little time to share? Our Assisted Living community is looking for warm, compassionate volunteers to help make each day brighter for our residents.

We could use volunteers to come in and read to nonverbal residents. This can really be any time. We could always use volunteers to play a game of some sort in the evenings. We play balloon ball at 4:30 pm every day. On Saturdays, we can have someone come in to help with exercise or play bingo from 9:30 a.m. - 11 a.m.

We would love to have volunteers spend time one-to-one, listening and reminiscing about the “good old days,” playing piano (or other musical instruments) if you are musically-minded, or helping to facilitate arts and crafts or games with those who call Lutheran Life Villages home.

Do you enjoy interacting and being around new people? Do you enjoy seeing other people smile? If you are yelling YES, we want to chat! The dedicated staff here at LLV has done an amazing job of taking care of our residents. However, the need for volunteers to assist with arts and crafts, bingo calling, assisting with taking our residents to outing, walks, weekly religious services, special events, and to listen to their history, is in need. Generally, we need volunteers anywhere from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mon-Fri.

Do you enjoy interacting and being around new people? Do you enjoy seeing other people smile? If you are yelling YES, we want to chat! The dedicated staff here at LLV has done an amazing job of taking care of our residents. However, the need for volunteers to assist with arts and crafts, bingo calling, assisting with taking our residents to outing, walks, weekly religious services, special events, and to listen to their history, is in need. If you have a special talent like playing the piano, etc., we could schedule a program during mealtimes. We generally have needs during the following times: 2-3:30 Tuesdays through Saturdays; 6-7:30 p.m. for small group activities and twice a month on Sunday’s from 1-2:30 p.m. for a special snack delivery

Do you enjoy spending time outdoors? Our groundskeepers are seeking individuals or groups to assist during various seasons with tasks such as planting flowers, spreading mulch, pulling weeds, raking leaves, and trimming bushes.

We are a nonprofit, faith-based organization with an expression of Christ's love. We serve individuals and their caregivers with compassion and respect for independence, wellness, and spiritual life. Volunteers from all faiths are welcome at our organization.

We generally have the following availability: Monday-Friday 7-3 p.m.

Lutheran Life Villages sponsors and hosts the Rock Steady Boxing Program.  The mission of Rock Steady Boxing is to equip our affiliates and empower the coaches to improve the quality of life of people with Parkinson’s disease through a non-contact, boxing-based fitness curriculum.

We are looking for volunteers to help participants who may need some extra assistance, help with organizing equipment, and assist the coaches. 

There are needs 10-11:30 am Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
