Volunteer: Mentorship

Adult life comes with many joys and challenges, as you may have experienced personally. CASS
is looking to provide mentors to help CASS Housing residents navigate life. CASS staff will pair
the mentor with a CASS resident based on interests, personality, and schedules. Mentors will
provide a listening ear, advice, and accountability for reaching goals. Mentorship sessions will be
individualized to the CASS resident, and training will be provided on CASS specific policies and
best practices in communicating and interacting with individuals with disabilities. The goal is for
mentorship sessions to occur on a regular schedule such as biweekly or monthly for a
minimum of one hour per session.

Qualifications include: 

18 or older

Desire to support individuals with ID/DD in learning independent living skills
