Volunteer Opportunities From: Volunteer Center

The Wellspring Shoppe is a clothing boutique that supplies free clothing to over 2,500 individuals a year. We receive donations year-round and need help sorting and stocking our boutique and also helping with clients as they shop in our boutique.  This is a great opportunity for anyone that loves organizing, fashion and customer service! 

The Shoppe hours are Mondays from 10:00am-2:00pm, Tuesdays from 2:30-6:00pm, Thursdays from 10:00am-2:00pm, and the second Saturday of each month from 9:00am-1:00pm.  You can help for just an hour or two, or for the whole 4 hours.  You can volunteer as much or little as you would like to.

Our healthy nutrition program is designed for clients to get fresh produce weekly by either attending a class or participating in the Food Bank or Clothing Shoppe. We need help bagging up the individual bags on Tuesdays from 9 - 11 am. We also sometimes have a need for our Registered Dietician to have an assistant during her various classes.

Our mobile food pantry (Wellspring on Wheels) serves every Tues/Thurs/Fri from 10am-12pm at pre selected sites around the county. 

We are looking for kind and compassionate people to help serve the food insecure. Volunteers will help bag food for clients and help with set- up and tear down of the mobile food pantry. 

We feed over 200 families every month in our mobile food pantry and distributed over 50,000 pounds of food in 2023!

Assisting full-time Administrative Assistant which includes:

Greets anyone who enters the building. answer phones, transfer calls, answer questions, give directions, various tasking and manage the flow of traffic in the office!

Volunteers will need to complete a volunteer application and have background checks conducted at Wellspring's expense. 

Any family in Allen County struggling with food insecurity is welcome to visit our food bank once every 30 days.  Each family can choose their food and will receive a choice of meat, fresh fruits and vegetables when available. 

We are looking for kind and compassionate people to help serve at our food bank Monday-Friday. Volunteers may assist with the completion of an intake with a client, gather food and hygiene items for them, and place order on table for them to take.

We serve 300-400+ families each month and are always looking for more help!

PS: Volunteers will need to have background checks conducted at Wellspring's expense. 

Our after-school program is looking for friendly individuals who can assist 1st-8th grade participants with homework, reading and/or educational games during scheduled homework time, 3:30-4:30pm Monday-Thursday during the academic school year. You may volunteer one day a week, two, three or all four! Volunteers may work one-on-one with children or may work with a small group depending on attendance numbers. This is a great opportunity for former educators or individuals who enjoy working with youth.

All volunteers will need to complete an application & have a background check conducted at Wellspring's expense.
