Who We Are

Allen County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is a dedicated organization committed to advocating for children who have been abused, neglected, or are at risk. Our mission is to ensure these children have a voice in the court system and to provide them with the support they need during what can be a very challenging and confusing time.

Allen County CASA recruits, trains and supports CASA volunteers as advocates to get to know the abused or neglected child and determine their needs and recommend what is in the child's best interest. The CASA volunteer communicates this information about the child to the court so the child's voice can be heard and so the child does not become "lost" in the system

At Allen County CASA, we believe that every child deserves a safe, loving, and permanent home. Our volunteers are committed to helping make that happen by providing children with the attention, advocacy, and stability they need during one of the most difficult times in their lives. By becoming a CASA volunteer, you can make a lasting impact on a child's future helping them feel seen, heard, and valued.

What We Do

Allen County CASA is looking for dedicated volunteers to make a real difference in the lives of abused and neglected children. As a CASA advocate, you’ll be a consistent and caring presence in a child’s life, ensuring their voice is heard and their best interests are represented in court.

With just 5 to 8 hours a month, you can change the course of a child’s future. With the support of our staff supervisors, you’ll build a trusting relationship with a child in need, visiting their home, getting to know their family, speaking with teachers, social workers, and therapists, and understanding their unique needs. Your advocacy helps judges make informed decisions so that children can be placed in safe, permanent homes as quickly as possible.

Beyond the courtroom, you’ll provide stability, encouragement, and guidance. You’ll help a child navigate an unfamiliar system filled with police, doctors, and attorneys, ensuring they feel supported and understood. You’ll also have the opportunity to advocate for essential services, assist with educational needs, and inspire them to dream about their future.

CASA volunteers don’t just change children’s lives, they form meaningful relationships that leave a lasting impact. Just a few hours of your time each month can make all the difference for a child who feels lost in the system. If you're looking for a deeply rewarding way to give back to your community, consider becoming a CASA advocate. Join us in being a voice for children who need it most
