Who We Are

The Fort Wayne Museum of Art is one of the most dynamic art museums in the Midwest, renowned for its art, architecture, and ambiance. Serving the Fort Wayne community and northeast Indiana for over 90 years, the Museum is a primary resource for the visual arts. Located in the heart of downtown Fort Wayne's Cultural District, members experience unparalleled exhibitions, vast permanent collections, a wealth of community outreach programs, and one of the most unique gift shops full of work by local artists, the Paradigm Gallery.

What We Do

The Museum is dedicated to presenting aesthetically and socially significant exhibitions and educational programs that attract the interest of, and have meaning for, the great many people in our community who do not see themselves as art lovers or museum goers. Our mission is to serve without regard to income, race, religion, age, etc., and our goal is to use our exhibitions and programs to engage the community and increase its awareness and appreciation for American and related art to add value to the lives of those we serve.

We are committed to presenting meaningful exhibitions and programs that promote understanding and greater unity between peoples for a brighter spirit of Northeast Indiana community. We value inclusiveness, education, dialogue, and stewardship, and we strive to open up the world of visual art to all whom we encounter in this community and beyond.
